About

River Antoine has been churning out bottles of rum since 1785, making it the oldest functioning water-powered distillery in the Caribbean.

This tiny independent distillery on the southern Caribbean island of Grenada is off most people’s radar but folks in the know widely regard it as one of the greatest rum producers on the planet without exception. A big reason for that is this 200 plus year old distillery’s adherence to traditional, manual production methods. The site is powered solely by water and nearly nothing has changed since it first opened. Powerful at 69% ABV and the rum sings with funky esters, pungent herbs, exotic spices and wild fruits and minerals. Very limited.
