Svöl Aquavit will take you on a journey through the varied regional traditions of Scandinavia’s beloved spirit. range pays homage to aquavit’s centuries of history, using ingredients that have been a part of Nordic cuisine since the Viking Age, while also drawing from advancements in modern botanical blending and distillation.
We partnered with experts in Scandinavian food and drink to create the finest examples of aquavit made in the regional styles of Denmark and Sweden. The botanicals were selected and sourced by chef Gunnar Gíslason, owner of Michelin-starred Dill Restaurant in Reykjavik, and Jonas Andersen, Beverage Manager for MeyersUSA. The distillation and botanical extraction techniques were developed in partnership with Allen Katz at New York Distilling Co in Brooklyn, NY, where Svöl is made.
